Pitmuies Gardens are open daily from 1st April until 30th September, 10am – 5pm
Entrance: Adults £5.00, accompanied children free. Dogs welcome on leads.
Groups: Organised groups are asked to book in advance with coffee or tea in the Drawing Room by arrangement.

- From Forfar – Take the A932 (Arbroath Road) for approximately 7 miles and ‘Pitmuies Gardens’ will be signposted on your right.
- From Arbroath – Take the A933 (Forfar Road) for approximately 6 miles. At Friockheim turn left onto the A932 signposted ‘Forfar’. After 1.2 miles, ‘Pitmuies Gardens’ will be signposted on your left.
- From Brechin – Take the A933 (Arbroath Road) for approximately 7 miles. At Friockheim turn right onto the A932 signposted ‘Forfar’. After 1.2 miles, ‘Pitmuies Gardens’ will be signposted on your left.
- Cross over the hump back bridge and the car park will be on your left.
Pitmuies is privately owned. The gardens and grounds are open but please respect the privacy of our home.
- Honesty Box located inside garden gate for entrance fee to garden and grounds
- Car parking available
- Loos are located in the Kitchen Garden – no disabled loos
- Benches are located throughout the gardens and along the walks
- Wheelchairs / Mobility Scooters are welcome and all levels of the gardens are accessible by paths but some walks have gates and steps so may not be so suitable
- Picnics are welcome, and there are tables by the Black Loch
- We advise appropriate footwear particularly on some of the walks
- Dogs welcome on leads
- Please keep to paths
- Paths in the gardens as well as the walks can change gradient (steps and slopes) and may become slippery after rainfall – please take care
- Please be aware that there are areas of unfenced open water and we advise close supervision of children
- There are no waste bins available in the gardens and walks – please do not leave litter or dog waste
- Please adhere to signage around the gardens and walks
- Please do not damage, remove or pick any plants or fruit in the gardens and grounds
